About Me

Ezra Silkes is a rising theatre artist, originally from Seattle, Washington. They got their start operating the flyrail for high school productions and haven't left backstage since. A graduate of Kent State University, they hold a BFA in Theatre Design, Technology, and Production with an emphasis on Technical Direction. Currently based in New Jersey, they've worked in a variety of diverse theater spaces across the country, and are comfortable working with wood, metal, plastic, foam, and more, as well as overseeing scenic pieces from design through implementation. Beyond scenic construction and technical direction, Ezra dabbles in sound design and props construction as well. When they're not in the scene shop, Ezra enjoys learning fun facts, getting lost in the woods, and usually spends their free time with their nose in a book.
